Product of the Day

Lorac's POREfection Baked Perfecting Powder retails for $32 and I believe it is worth every penny. For those of you, like myself, who hated the Bare Minerals/Bare Escentuals loose powder foundation (original), this is a great alternative for you!  Although this product is marketed as a finishing powder, I use it as a foundation on a nearly daily basis and it provides a medium and natural coverage that I adore.  I wear shade P2, for reference.
"Perfect with POREfection Baked Perfecting Powder for a silky-smooth, poreless-looking finish. This non-drying, fragrance and paraben free formula is infused with Salicylic Acid and antioxidants to help skin appear youthful, healthy and clear. Refine with poreless technology that's good for all skin types, including sensitive, oily, and acne prone skin. Get a flawless, smooth matte finish and achieve complexion POREfection with LORAC!"-LoracCosmetics.com

Q:  What's your favorite powder foundation?  Do you love them or hate them?

Pros:
  • This product never oxidizes on my skin
  • You get 9g, which is quite a bit of product
  • Light to medium-full coverage can be achieved
  • Doesn't cling to dry patches
  • Doesn't turn my skin into an oil slick, like Bare Minerals Does
  • Balances out redness beautifully
  • Works GREAT as a setting powder for a full coverage, absolutely flawless look
  • This line of powders caters exceptionally well to the very fair skinned people of the world

Cons:
  • It's quite spendy at $32
  • It's not available at many stores-I got mine at Ulta for reference
  • There is a very small shade range to chose from

Price got you down?
A FANTASTIC alternative is the Neutrogena Skin Clearing Mineral Powder foundation (or just the regular mineral sheers foundation) is a HG product of mine, and it is only $11.99!
